|
| Strategic Planning at the Calcasieu Parish Public LibraryThe Calcasieu Parish Public Library has received a strategic planning grant from the Gulf Coast Recovery Project and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation through the Southeastern Library Network. The strategic planning process is being facilitated by June Garcia and Sandra Nelson and will be based on the Public Library Association’s Strategic Planning for Results, which was written by Sandra. June has been involved with designing the PLA planning processes since 1984. She is the co-author of Creating Policies for Results: From Chaos to Clarity with Sandra. In addition, Sandra is the author of The New Planning for Results and the co-author of several of the resource allocation books in the Results series. June and Sandra have helped dozens of public libraries of all sizes to develop strategic plans. The CPPL strategic planning process has four distinct phases. You can find more information on each phase by clicking on the appropriate button the left.
